About the Author
Bill Konstant is a career wildlife biologist and student of animal behavior. He has risen through the ranks of zookeeper and animal trainer to help create and manage conservation programs at several North American zoos. Bill has worked for such esteemed organizations as World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Wildlife Preservation Trust International, and Conservation International. He has served as a member of the Species Survival Commission (SSC) of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) since the early 1980s. In what he refers to as his semi-retirement, Bill writes in addition to serving as advisor to the Margot Marsh Biodiversity Foundation, Re:wild, and the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund.
