On Independent Bookstore Day, April 26th, children’s author Mary Anne Abdo will join us to sign her new book, Pumpkin: The Cat Who Plays with Words, from 1:00-3:00 PM.
About the Book
Pumpkin is the editor of Blue Stained Glass Poetry and loves to play with words. His fondness for words started when he was a kitten hiding in the newspaper rack, enjoying the crunch of paper and putting words into sentences. Pumpkin’s sister Dusty will teach you to love words, too. Their friends, the birds, squirrels, and Mr. Charles D. Groundhog, will open up your imagination into the world of words. Have fun within the pages of this book, and write down your favorite words, poems, and stories to share with your family.

Pumpkin is a cat who loves to play with paper, especially when my office door is open. He has his own way of typing and editing a story or a poem. Once he is done with his editing he finds his comfortable spot on the ottoman next to my desk to supervise me. He is a very happy cat when he is playing with his sister, Dusty, watching the birds outside the picture window, playing with words, and of course being loved by our entire family.
